About In My Father’s House, Inc.
“From Crisis to Confidence.”
Growing up, I knew what it felt like to live in survival mode. My family faced serious financial struggles that meant nights in hotel rooms, enduring unsafe and unstable living conditions, and never truly feeling settled. Things didn’t start to stabilize for us until I was around 12, but those early experiences left a lasting impact.
As I stepped into adulthood, I found myself walking a familiar path—working hard but still not earning enough, depending on family for a place to stay, and not always having a home to call my own. I know firsthand what it feels like to be stuck between trying and thriving.
But my story didn’t end there.
In 2002, I found my purpose when I began working as a psychiatric aide. For 4.5 years, I had the privilege of walking beside individuals navigating mental and emotional challenges. That passion led me to become a nurse in 2013, a decision that changed everything. Through roles as a case manager with a well-known health insurance company and a substance abuse nurse for a local mental health provider, I gained valuable insight into the broken systems that fail our most vulnerable.
Becoming a nurse didn’t just give me a career—it gave me confidence, stability, and the tools to help others rise from the same difficult places I once stood.
In My Father’s House, Inc.
was born from that journey. Our mission is to take individuals and families
from crisis to confidence
by offering essential resources, supportive housing, and educational classes that foster independence and healing.
This work is personal. I’ve lived it. And now, I’m devoted to helping others live past it, too.
To create a world where every individual—regardless of their past or present circumstances—has access to safe housing, supportive resources, and the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity, purpose, and confidence.
